VASER® Lipo

Introduction

VASER® Lipo, also known as Ultrasound-Assisted Liposculpture, is a body contouring procedure that stands out for its exclusivity and elegance. VASER stands for “Vibration Amplification of Sound Energy at Resonance,” referring to liposuction assisted by ultrasound probes.

Its distinctive feature is that it enables highly selective liposuction, primarily focusing on fat removal without damaging other tissues such as blood vessels, connective tissues, or nerves.

Operation of VASER® Lipo

Unlike conventional liposuction, where large cannulas are used to suction fat, VASER® Lipo employs ultrasound probes to emulsify the fat, turning it into a liquid state. This technique minimizes damage to surrounding tissues and allows for the use of smaller, gentler suction probes to selectively remove the melted fat. The process involves less bruising, quicker recovery, and reduced postoperative pain due to the preservation of subcutaneous nerves.

Advantages of VASER® Lipo

VASER® Lipo offers numerous advantages compared to other fat removal methods. The technique is minimally invasive, meaning that results are achieved without large surgical incisions. The selectivity of suction reduces bruising and blood loss during the procedure, thereby accelerating recovery. Furthermore, the procedure preserves skin retraction, allowing for well-defined muscle contouring, especially in high-definition liposculpture. It also highlights the possibility of reusing the suctioned fat to fill other areas of the body, such as the buttocks or face, achieving natural and long-lasting results.

Applications of Suctioned Fat

The fat extracted during VASER® Lipo can be used to enhance and improve other areas of the body. Commonly, it is injected into the buttocks, the face (around the eyes and cheeks), and pectoral muscles to achieve a fuller and rejuvenated appearance. Thanks to the gentleness of the procedure and the preservation of the vitality of fat cells, fat reinjection in these areas provides natural and long-lasting results, making it an advanced option in rejuvenation and body contour enhancement techniques.

Before and after

VASER liposculpture is an advanced liposuction technique that uses ultrasound to dissolve fat before its extraction, allowing for more precise body sculpting.

It is performed under anesthesia (local or general, depending on the case), so the patient does not feel pain during the procedure.

Recovery varies among patients, but it is generally around 1 to 2 weeks.

VASER liposculpture can improve the appearance of cellulite by removing underlying fat, but it is not a specific treatment for cellulite.

It is possible but less likely. When fat cells are removed, they do not come back. However, the remaining fat cells can grow if a significant amount of weight is gained.
